CLUB LES PALMIERS, PAMPELONNEOf all the beach clubs on Pampleonne’s famous 5km-long beach, Club Les Palmiers is arguably the best club to come to for excellent food. It’s not as prominent as some of the other clubs, and it doesn’t even have a website, but it does have a loyal clientele of ‘foodies’ who come regularly to its restaurant to enjoy some quality dining. The menu is simple, with classic seaside specials such as mixed seafood platters including grilled or fried calamari, main courses of signature pastas and grilled fish specialties of locally caught fish.
CLUB 55, PAMPELONNE
If Club Les Palmiers is where to go for excellent food then Club 55 is where to go for a very good meal in exceptional surroundings. This club on famous Pampelonne Beach is arguably the classiest and a magnet for celebrities who flock to its shores every summer. In fact it’s been a favourite with film stars ever since it was adopted by Brigitte Bardot as the set canteen in the 1950s when the bikini-clad beauty filmed And God Created Woman nearby. The food is simple and fresh, with a large range of mouth-watering salads and appetizers such as breaded calamari and Beluga caviar.

LES JUMEAUX, PAMPELONNE
This beach club is highly recommended for families, and makes an ideal venue for those wanting to eat some great food in a beautiful setting without worrying about how the kids are going to behave. Les Jumeaux has a playground with games available to keep the little ones occupies between meals, and a decent menu enfant. For adults, the menu is pretty typical of beach restaurants with an abundance of fresh fish, salads and grilled vegetables but the quality and service is excellent. There is also some interesting art work to look at on the beach whilst you eat.
